Interesting People!
was created and launched to serve as a contact resource for the electronic
and print media. It will serve as a meeting
planner resource, as many of those listed here are experts who speak.
This is a great resource list of potential
presenters!
This creative concept was inspired by my friend Noel McNaughton, who recently shared a story of getting a call from a US radio station. He asked the caller "why he was called?" and was told they found him ‘interesting.’ He wondered how they found him… did they simply type in a search for ‘interesting people’? Perhaps! That sparked my creative bent. I began creation of this site to showcase some of the people I find interesting: Fellow authors, business leaders, experts-who-speak, corporate trainers, community activists and more… Enjoy! This site will consistently be under evolution, so check back!

Inspirational Quotes:
Here is something worth considering!
Journalists and consumers both increasingly access the web for research. More than 550 million searches are done daily via the web. Each month, North American web-users conduct 27 million searches at Yahoo! News, Google News or other news search engines.
According to recent surveys by Middleberg/Ross and the Pew Internet Project, we learn that:– 98 percent of journalists go online every day
– 92 percent do it to research an article
– 76 percent to find new sources and experts
– 73 percent to find press releases
And if you factor in the following:– 68 million North Americans go online every day
– 30 percent use a search engine to find specific information
– 27 percent go online to get current news
I would guess there will be a good use for this interesting people site.
This is a good starting place, if you are looking for someone interesting, who 'knows' what they are talking about and says it well.Perhaps this personal work will open a few doors and allow a few thousand new people to gain access to some of the more creative and dynamic people I’ve met, worked with, or heard in person. Each has had an impact on my life and career in the speaking industry. It is my privilege to introduce you… tell them I said hello.
There are some pretty great people on this list; many of them are friends and colleagues from the International Federation for Professional Speakers (CAPS and NSA were founding members of this global organization.) Many are listed in NSA’s Who’s Who in Professional Speaking.
These are people you’d enjoy sitting down and chatting with or having them come and share their stories with your readers, team or organization… I KNOW I DO!
Bookmark this site, as I will be adding to it on a frequent basis. I will be seeding it with names and contact information where available. Additional categories will be added as necessary. (I am amazed at how many people I know… wow am I lucky!)
