As I've gotten older, I have used my birthday as a time for honest reflection and a time for revisiting activities, ideas, desires and outcomes from the previous year. I have come to regard my birthday as 'My Personal New Year!" For some reason it makes more sense to me than Jan. 1st each year.
I've even shared this concept with a few friends, who like myself, have put a few years under our belts and are not always looking forward to celebrating 'another' birthday.
